Shooting on location: engineering sophistication of a moody alpine Bavaria
February 24, 2025It’s been almost exactly 13 years since our avid team Fotografika immersed in this extensive creative mission visiting most distant South-Eastern corner of Germany in late winter of 2012.
Hidden in the highlands of Untergriesbach, a charming and cosy small town of alpine Bavaria, stands one unimposing yet unexpectedly sophisticated factory. Founded in 1948, Kaiser GmbH is a wood-based engineering company. Family owned, Kaiser has many years of experience designing customised room acoustics for recording studios, conference rooms, lecture halls and state-of-the-art home cinemas.
Seeking to expand internationally and capitalise on their knowledge of acoustics Kaiser at the time of our visit has been already for quite some time relatively quietly developing their (now well known and famous) audiophile speakers: Kawero! Classic (almost 200 kg a pair!) as well as Kawero! Vivace and a smaller new one Kawero! Chiara.
Our goal in late winter of 2012 was to up the ante in Kawero! marketing and revitalise the overall image of the company. The passionate team of Kaiser family lead by CEO Hans-Jurgen Kaiser as well as their mastermind audiophile Technical Director Rainer Weber deserved the best images that would do justice for their outstanding craftsmanship and dedication. And we did our best to deliver precisely that.
Here are some behind the scene images of this unforgettable yet challenging assignment visiting the Kaiser factory near Untergriesbach as well as their impressive listening room in Regensburg.
We hope you enjoy this tranquil sophistication of the moody alpine Bavaria as much as we did!
